Structural Engineering
Students in 2, 3, and 5th grades chose a mystery structure from their Social Studies curriculum. They had to create the structure to be sturdy, strong, and remain standing. Their structure had to be created with 3-dimensional shapes, planned with the program tinkerCAD for fifth grade with correct proportions, and then they had to reassemble the pieces.
Students in 4th grade continue learning about potential and kinetic energy, along with force to create a roller coaster structure. Students were able to review these concepts and preform some review in measurement.
